Theft of Days

Posted in Miscellaneous on May 11th, 2007

For more than a week now the Macon Telegraph has failed to explain the dastardly theft that occurred at their offices last Sunday. On that day persons unknown seem to have stolen Sunday May 6th from their calendar and website. Note the belief on their part that Monday was the 6th of May rather that the correct date of May 7th. The actual Sunday May 6th has vanished without a trace and has now been missing for almost a week.

Even more inexplicable is the rampant ongoing theft of various days of the week that they seem to have not even noticed. It is beginning to appear as though the Macon Telegraph may be engaged in some form of cover-up of this incredible heist. Perhaps it is the result of nefarious insiders and the Telegraph is working desperately behind the scenes to recover their missing days. Yet one wonders if the guilty parties will be caught or simply allowed to slip away in an attempt to save face. This is a pattern that long time Macon Telegraph observers are all to familiar with.

The Macon Telegraph makes numerous errors and omissions yet seldom offers any corrections or clarifications. In an environment where “News” publishing organizations are under mounting scrutiny and face declining public opinion of the veracity of their product the Macon Telegraph seems immune to criticism. Furthermore, when errors are pointed out the typical reaction is to hide, ignore, or obfuscate the issue rather than responding appropriately. This history begs the question; did the missing days contain letters the Macon Telegraph was unable to squelch?

FLASH LATE NEWS FLASH

Competent authorities are now perusing this investigation and have delegated the task to an elite unit of investigators.

An anonymous source reports that the covert and highly classified BLOGS unit of No Such Agency is now investigating and that there may well have been multiple violations of Internet Norms of Behavior.

The existence of the BLOGS unit is of course denied by all official sources yet is widely believed to stand for:

Bloggers
Looking
Online
Gatherers and
Sleuths

This Unit is believed by many to have successful in inflaming public opinion and influencing elections. It remains to be seen if it can recover the Macon Telegraph’s missing days with the letters intact.

There is something terribly wrong with this picture and story.

I think we need to send CNN, CBS and the rest of the American media down under. I have no doubt they would be able to scare up the “Real Story” of serious social collapse. I mean they did a bang up job with Katrina after all.

I mean let’s get real, this is what you get when you let local stringers tell the “Story”. Just boring good news. This is something I expect to find in Grit Magazine not the World’s Number One Source of well spun “News”.

You know the more I think about it the more I think the tickets should be one way. Nah I can’t be that mean to the Aussies.

If we had the option where should we send the American “News Media”?

Now there’s an idea.

Who should go where?

Personally I think most deserve circle 8 with a good example being Dan —-“I’d Rather Not Tell The Truth”. Perhaps we should refer to him as Danni Fucci. [Inf. 24.97-111] :)
