Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad; The next Hitler?

Posted in Politics on October 30th, 2005

I find it absolutely baffling that the Europe which hosted the worst act of genocide of modern times continues to deny the intentions of Iran. The rhetoric makes the goal of the Iranian leadership very clear.

Iran’s leaders seek the complete and utter destruction of an entire nation.

Yet Europe continues to belive that diplomacy can change the minds of zealots. There is little functional difference between Hitler’s “ultimate solution” and stated goals of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Here are his words to a conference on “The World without Zionism,” as quoted in Reuters; compare them with those of Adolf Hitler:

Why is there nothing similar at The Telegraph?

As noted below the New York Times has a policy with clear channels for citizens to comment about potential inaccuracies.

From the New York Times websites corrections page.

The Times welcomes comments and suggestions, or complaints about errors that warrant correction. Messages on news coverage can be e-mailed to nytnews@nytimes.com or left toll-free at 1-888-NYT-NEWS (1-888-698-6397). Comments on editorials may be e-mailed to letters@nytimes.com or faxed to (212) 556-3622.

Readers dissatisfied with a response or concerned about the paper’s journalistic integrity may reach the public editor, Byron Calame, at public@nytimes.com or (212) 556-7652.

For newspaper delivery questions: 1-800-NYTIMES (1-800-698-4637).

Unfortunately it seems that neither The Macon Telegraph nor Knight Ridder intend to address the issues I have raised. Even if they disagree and decide that no correction is warranted; stonewalling and ignoring the allegation is not the proper response. The key here is that the Telegraph and Mr. Richardson owe me and their readers a response.

Irresponsible-journalism/

So far I have emailed my concerns to:

letters@macontel.com
smarshall@macontel.com
adalton@knightridder.com
lschlatter@knightridder.com
plaffoon@knightridder.com

Not one has responded in any way.

I know they have received the emails I have sent since they published my letter October 21st indicating my belief that the Federal reporter shield law should be rejected by congress.

Stonewalling by the Macon Telegraph.

The Angry Citizen

It has become obvious that neither the Macon Telegraph nor Knight Ridder will correct Mr. Richardson’s dishonest and irresponsible repeating of rumors and outright lies.

The Telegraph and Knight Ridder apparently have less integrity than the New York Times.
