Fast Food Wall of Shame
Tonight December 18th 2005 we have our second honeree.
Wendy’s
6040 Zebulon Rd
Macon, GA 31210
This store is giving the Krystal across the street a run for their money in the stingy fries department.
I ordered a triple cheese and asked for it to be “biggie sized with the largest fry and drink you have”.
Here is what I got:
A single cheese and about half a box of fries. When I got home
(< 2minutes) the burger and fries where cold. When I spoke to Shawn the "Manager" he gave me the same lame excuse about not being able to find good help. When I told him to go ask for lessons from the owner of the Chic filet just up the street he got upset and we ended the conversation. Both stores pull from the same labor pool so the excuse does not work. The real problem is crappy managers at most fast food joints.

Thanks Shawn for failing to teach your employees the basic manners of customer service.
Things like:
listening to the customer and allowing them to finish their order before jumping on the mike and interrupting them before they can finish their order.
Reading back the order before taking their money.
Wow!
Imagine actually treating your customer like the reason you are in business rather than an interruption of your game of grab ass with the staff.
Too bad Dave is gone as I have no doubt he would have fired the whole crew if the managers where as sorry as you are.
By the way I got my first job working at the Wendys on Spring street in Macon and I find the current situation a real tragedy compared to the days when I worked there.
I saw managers get canned for serving “chili meat burgers” that were over cooked. This is now the norm at most stores. Back then Wendys took pride in its products but the comapany no longer seems to have the same leadership.
UPDATE:
Even better when I went to the Wendys website looking for a way to complain. I found they can’t be bothered with complaints there is no obvious way to complain via the web or email.
In this day and age the expect me to write them a letter. They don’t even seem to have an 800 # Get real.

The first honoree is the Krystal on Zebulon road in Macon Georgia. This store is abysmally slow and very stingy on fries. See the photo below. I entered the drive through at 2:05 pm on Wednesday September 21st 2005.
After waiting 14 minutes for my food this is the order of fries I received. I have made several complaints to Krystal’s corporate online site with no improvement.
